SUMMARY:
Research
We
need some equivalent to OCLC for distributed
cooperative/collaborative system/network to
capture full-text, sound, images, and moving
images, and bibliographic data. We want the data
(e.g. primary sources) to be free, available on a
non-subscription basis, with no unnecessary
graphics, etc. Want it to be available to the
broadest possible audience world-wide.
Artists
Types
of projects
developing screen based
narratives (video games that are
interactive theatre events),
incorporation of digital
technology into performance, can use
collaboration with computer sciences
actually developing tools that
theatre artists could use to create
theatre performance without having to
know sophisticated code.
Teachers
Looking
at data through the lens of pedagogy, there needs
to be more there - availability of media - all
kinds of primary sources.
How
to rely on the accuracy and how to teach our
students to evaluate accuracy. Integrated
pedagogical tools to lead students through to
gather evidence and present.
Paradigms
a very sophisticated but very
simple search engine
a flexible way to present data
to involve simultaneous display - teacher
creates meaning voice recognition to be
able to call up a prepared bookshelf, be
a small subset so not to lose train
copyright - difficulty of
copyright - need to find a way to get the
right people paid and give people access,
rethink how
