Student Center, adjacent to the Robert Ferst Center for the Arts.
Participants should park in the Visitor Parking Lot adjacent to
the Student Center, as indicated on the Visitor
Parking Map and the Campus

Driving instructions are given below, as well as directions for
using MARTA trains from the airport. A cab from Hartsfield Airport
should cost $30.
Driving south on I-75/85:
Take Exit #249D (North Avenue). At the top of the exit ramp, turn
right onto North Avenue. Cross Techwood Drive (the first light)
and continue on North Avenue. At the second light, turn right onto
Tech Parkway. At the first light, turn right onto Regents and turn
right again, almost immediately, at the light, onto Ferst Drive.
Follow Ferst and turn left at the Student Center Lot/Deck ticket
booth.
Driving north on I-75/85:
Exit at 10th Street. Turn left onto 10th St. and cross over the
interstate. At the fourth traffic light, turn left onto Hemphill
Ave. At the stop sign, turn right onto Ferst Drive. Follow Ferst
and turn left at the Student Center Lot/Deck ticket booth.
Arriving at Hartsfield Airport:
Cab: Take a cab to the Student Center on Ferst Drive. Cab fare is
approximately $30.
MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority): Trains take
you from the airport baggage claim to the North Avenue station.
It is a 20-minute ride. Walk three blocks west on North Avenue to
campus or transfer to a bus on route #13 to Tech. Fare is $1.75
one way, and exact change is required (change machines are available
at MARTA stations). At the intersection of North Avenue and Fowler
Street, ascend the stairs under the archway and take an immediate
right. Follow the path to the Student Center.
Hotel Information
We recommend those participants who will be staying overnight to
make a reservation at the nearby Wyndham
Midtown Atlanta Suites Hotel, at 125 10th Street, Atlanta (404.873.4800).
Speak with Howard McNeir to get the reduced rate of $108 and mention
this event, hosted by Georgia Tech and the LCC Dept. ( Literature,
Communication & Culture).
A shuttle will take you to the meeting in the morning.
The train (MARTA) will bring you directly from the airport to the
Midtown station: go to the front entrance of the Midtown station
(10th street exit), look to the right and you'll see the hotel.
